George Washington Masonic Apron

One of the prized possessions of the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania is a Masonic Apron owned by George Washington, given to him by the Marquis de Lafayette. It was first presented by the Washington estate to the Washington Benevolent Society of Pennsylvania in 1816, which in turn gifted it to the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania in 1829. The apron remains on display to this day at the Masonic Temple in Philadelphia.
