8th Masonic District Summer School of Instruction Scheduled

The 8th Masonic District Summer School of Instruction will be held on the four Tuesdays in July, starting at 7:30 pm.  The venue will be at the Frey Masonic Center located on the campus of the Masonic Village-Warminster, 850 Norristown Road, Warminster, PA.

In response to requests by our Lodge officers and some members, the format of the school will change this year. Each Tuesday evening we will have presentations to provide a better understanding of the Craft for both seasoned and newly made Masons.  The scheduled programs for those evenings are:

  • July 5th – Appointed Chairs 101:  Open to all Master Masons, it reviews the appointed and elected chairs, their responsibilities and requirements along with  advancement in the Lodge. It is an excellent program and especially encouraged for all newly made Master Masons who may be trying to determine where they can best contribute to their Lodge. It will also review some mechanics for those already in the chairs.
  • July 12th – Masonic Law:  Open to all Master Masons and presented by PDDGMs Robert Burns and David Tansey. This will provide an overview of the Masonic Law topics that officers and members should be familiar with.
  • July 19th – Masonic Etiquette:  Open to all Master Masons and presented by PDDGMs Robert Burns and David Tansey. The program will instruct on the proper methods and processes that a brother should exhibit while in the Lodge.
  • July 26th – Freemasonry for Wives and Significant Others:  Open to Masons and their spouses, girlfriends and significant others. In an effort to provide understanding of Freemasonry to those who we leave behind while we go to our Lodge meetings; this program will give an overview of items in the Lodge and some information on expectations of the members. It will also give the attendees a brief insight to Masonic appendant bodies and charities. Pizza and refreshments will be enjoyed following the presentation.

These should be great opportunities for education, fellowship and fun!
